These depositions were taken in the case of Kanawha Banking and Trust Company vs. J.H. Rust and C. Pittard, Circuit Court of Kanwha County, West Virginia. Both men describe the location of the General Court Building and Christian gives details of the contents, attesting to their complete destruction in the April 3, 1865 fire.
